Our Rules

Rules and Safety

 We are very conscious of the safety of our guests so we ask everyone to read and accept our rules confirmation of Booking is deemed completion of this request. We would also ask that you read our 'Facilities' page containing a section on 'Extra's'.  Please ensure that you discuss with us your exact requirements to avoid disappointment.

We have put a lot of hard work and money into making Surf Bay Special for everyone including a new kitchen, branded towels, dressing gowns and mugs for 2022.  Damages as documented for each party which stay and all damages are chargeable so please enjoy your holiday but take care of our house and contents.

We also require a list of the names of everyone who will be staying at the Complex for Health and Safety reasons, failure to supply these will be deemed a breach of our Terms and Conditions.

The Private Surf Bay area is beyond two large white gates at the top of the drive which you can close for privacy. Please note, we may from time to time need to have maintenance engineers attend for remedial work and for work in the field areas.

Rules for Swimming Pool & Hot Tub
 
Please adhere to the following rules :-
1 - Please shower before using the outdoor facilities an outside shower is now provided
2 - No running
3 - No diving (Pool depth is a constant 1.5m)
4 - No eating/smoking in close proximity of the pool & hot tub
5 - Please seek medical advise if you have any condition that might be exacerbated by using the facilities.
6 - No glassware or bottles are allowed in the patio areas please on use the plastic glasses which we supply in all areas
7 - Children must not use the pool & hot tub unsupervised   
8 - Inflatables / Pool Toys /  games used at guest’s risk
9 - Pool Equipment Area is out of bounds to all guests (i.e. Locked)
10 - Pool cover will not support the weight of any guest or pet
11 - Ensure you do not use the facilities unless other guests know you are doing so. Both the Pool & Hot Tub should not be used unaccompanied for health & safety reasons - Full explanation available upon request
12 - Children and dogs are to be accompanied at all times around the outside facilities
13 - Pool & Hot Tub are used at guest's risk
14 - Dogs are not allowed in the Pool or Hot Tub
15 - Please ensure you are dry prior to walking on the new carpets inside the house


Definitions

We class the enclosed area as the area after the gates at the top of the slope as 'Private' however, agreement to the terms also means an acceptance that we retain access at any time to the property.  We may need to have Maintenance Staff carry out emergency work or we may require access to the field areas.  The field is not part of your Private area however, it is not open to the General Public.

We will endeavor to notify of these occurrence.
General House Rules
 
1 - There is strictly 'No Smoking' within any of the rooms
2 - Smoking  is only permitted in the designated area outside
3 - Only plastic glassware is to be used in the patio areas and no glass bottles or glass items
4 - We do not allow the use of recreational drugs
5 - Please use the recycling bins provided  for safety of children, animals and the environment.  These are desginated as follows:-
Bottles & tins (Green)
Paper & cardboard (Blue)
Other including plastic (Yellow)
6 - We must be alerted by telephone of any Emergency or Incidences which occur on the premises using the phone numbers provided to you during the booking process
7 - If the keys or remote control for the main gates are mislaid or lost there will be an additional charge to replace these items and associated costs in facilitating the process


Dog Rules
We love  and welcome well behaved dogs but we have very strict hygiene measures to ensure standards are met for the enjoyment of all our guests.

1 -
Dogs are strictly not permitted to climb onto the furniture, have use of the bed linen or blankets, eat off kitchen utensils, use the wet room  or bath. Dog cutlery and bowls are provided. (Extra cleaning costs will be charged accordingly if this rule is abused)
2 - If the dog needs to be showered due to being dirty there is now an outside shower area
3 - Please bring with you your dogs bedding and blankets
4 - Children and dogs to be accompanied at all times in the outside facilities
5 - A dog toilet area is allocated however, any dog mess must be cleared up
6 - Dogs can use our adjacent field at the guest's risk
 

7- Dogs must be in good health with an up to date flea, worm and vaccination record.  Dogs must not be in full molt
8 - Dogs and animals are not permitted in the pool

In the event of an Emergency 999 is to be used however, we must be informed as soon as possible of any incident occurring on the premises by telephoning us on our numbers provided to you through the booking process.

We obviously hope you will never need these details but we always want to provide our guests with the information they may need.  A full list of contacts from Dentists, to local Doctors Surgeries are noted in the Lodge Handbook.  We do not accept any liability for these third party sites or subsequent treatment given.

Cancellations

Please note that any bookings made directly to us and not via a third party which we have to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances will be liable to a full refund and consist of an offer of a discounted stay in the future, no alternative financial offers will be made.  We apologise if this arises and is a rare occurrence but with any property the safety and well-being of our guests is most important.

Disputes and Resolutions

We try hard to provide an excellent service so in the event of a dispute please let us know immediately if you are unhappy with the accommodation or services.  This will enable us time to rectify and resolve the situation so you are able to enjoy your stay with us. Notification after you leave and subsequent complaints will not be able to be resolved as easily so in the realms of fairness we ask that you provide us a chance to address your issues as soon as they arise.

 Resolutions will be handled by one of the Management Team of NDPA Lettings.

We also ask that you notify us immediately, on the telephone number provided to you, of any emergency situations which arise during your stay.

We aim to make your visit special so we always do what we can to ensure your stay at Surf Bay Lodge is as you booked as we always endeavour to provide standards which we hope will exceed your expectations.
