New Year, New Additions to the Lodge
Another year and a fresh lick of paint and new additions to the lodge.
We now not only have the fluffiest of towels but we have added lovely soft dressing gowns for you to enjoy. These are great at keeping you cosy whilst walking between the hot tub and the lodge.
The baby items now include a travel cot and highchair plus younger children items like a table and chair set so your children can sit more easily, play games and draw.
Our guests dogs have also been considered with new hygiene items and a new large crate if you feel you would like to crate your dog at any time. We are also looking at putting in a doggie shower outside to rinse muddy dogs off prior to entering the lodge, more to follow on that in a couple of months.
We have upgraded our bedlinens which we do every year and are currently having new specially designed curtains made for the lounge and the bedroom. The furniture is also going through an upgrade and new items will be added this year as well. It is not that the items in the lodge look worn it is just that we like to update the lodge between seasons so it is interesting to all our guests who re-visit. It is always nice to find new touches and we aim to take care of the wellbeing of our guests by providing a beautiful accommodation.
In addition to all this you will receive a superb 'Welcome Pack' with Molton Brown shower gels, Thorntons Chocolates, Tassimos and a whole range of goodies to make your visit special. A special feedback form will also be an addition to the lodge which we would appreciate completion of. This will enable us to understand whether you would be interested in other concepts we have considered such as a dog walking service, couples massages, etc.
2017 is already proving to be a busy year with bookings back to back and many repeat guests which is fabulous. Please take a look at our website which is also constantly being updated and if you are a large group/family we do have other rooms available on request.

The summer is almost over and we are heading yet again into the Autumn. We are have been busy with more updates and have just finished cleaning up the slabs around the pool area and working inside the house with new carpets in three of the bedrooms and new dining furniture. We also have a large new television for the house and added lots of gadgets and items to make your stay more comfortable.
The website will be updated soon with a new look and photographs of the house including a video so you can take a tour around to see if it is to your liking.

Happy Summer of 2017!!!
We are already looking forward to a busy summer but we do have availability for some weeks, you can also now book the whole complex as well as just the lodge. If you would be interested in booking please let us know as we get fully booked very quickly.
Surf Bay Lodge, is close to some lovely beaches and walks, plus a famous golf course on the doorstep and award winning Ice Cream.
We are dog friendly with two sizeable private fields behind the lodge where the dogs can be exercised. We are also immaculately clean and provide lovely welcome packs for all the guests which include Molton Brown and Thorntons chocolates.
Every year we update the lodge and add new features and bedding so that with each stay you will always find something different.
We also have a referral scheme so if you have friends who you think would enjoy a stay with us please let us know you have referred them.
We update the website reguarly and most recently started advertising with the 'Good Dog Guide'. In the winter months the lodge is great for Ramblers who love walking the Tarka Trail and other interesting walks, guests who like to attend the Literary events etc. The lodge has its own heating system with underfloor heating so is always toasty during the colder months so if you are looking to book ahead we would be pleased to hear from you.

It has been beautiful weather recently which meant we have have seen stunning sunsets over the sea with a full view of these from the hot tub.
We are always updating what we can offer our guests so we recently added the ability for our guests to use our two fabulous fields to walk their dogs or just take in the views. Please take a look at our website and video. In addition, we have decided to extend our renting capability by offering the whole house and lodge as part of a single third package which we call Surf Bay Complex.
This is what we can now offer:
The First Option is to rent the Lodge with pool/hot tub as prior agreed, the Second Option is to rent the lodge and two extra bedrooms with pool/hot tub as prior agreed or as we still have experienced many guests wishing for further renting capacity we now have a Third Option of renting the whole complex (Lodge and House) with pool/hot tub as prior agreed. The pool/hot tub are optional extras and have additional prices for the use of these facilities.
If you would like to learn how you could book this amazing complex of House and Lodge with all the facilities please email us. In the main house we have a large Kitchen, Utility, Dining Room, Lounge, Cloakroom, Bathroom, three King size Bedrooms and one Super King Size Bedroom, two of those bedrooms have ensuite facilities and can also be entered from the pool side. Most of the bedrooms have zip link beds so can also be twin rooms if required.

We have some fabulous beaches in North Devon including Instowe Beach (as above), as soon as the sun shines I relish walking across the lovely soft sand whilst eating a Hockings Ice Cream.
If you stay in the lodge you can then return later and enjoy the pool or hot tub watch the sun set across the horison until the stars glisten in the skies above you.

November 2016 - Autumn has arrived but we still had lovely days in November. We have had a great year at the lodge and so much has happened that we have started to send out Newsletter.
